The 3rd Disability Awareness & Opportunity Expo for Logan City was held on the 7th September 2011 , at the Logan Entertainment Centre, Wembly Road, Logan Central., again with great success.
They bought together over 50 exhibitors from around Logan City. The Expo was free to the public and provided the community of Logan, the following on the day:
*Information stalls held by a range of different service providers in Logan to provide basic information on the types of services, programs and activities they can offer clients, families and other service providers.
*Workshops providing disability related information such as working with Centrelink, navigating Disability Services, and getting involved with work.
The Logan City Disability Awards were also held during the day on Centre Stage, and this was a very exciting part of the Expo and wonderful to see the delight on the faces of very worthy winners. We were Honoured to host this very important event on behalf of Logan City.
Another important sector was the ‘Have your say’ booth where thoughts, ideas and suggestions for improvement related to living with a disaiblity in Logan were shared.
